Course Detail: WTBN270 - Building Automation Systems Networking

Course Description: This 20-hour course meets 1 time a week for 2 hours, over a 10-week period. As a result of this training students will be able to apply multiple open-source networking protocols; identify the hierarchy and operation of (Echelon)LON Networks; identify the hierarchy and operation of (Building Automation and Controls Network) BACnet; and compare and contrast the two networks (LON and BACnet).This course is one of two, in the Building Automation Systems Level 2 Certificate program. Upon successful completion of the certificate, students may qualify for entry-level positions, including Control Systems Technician, Facilities Manager, Building Commissioning Agent, and Building Operator.
