Course Detail: WTBA140 - Building Automation Systems Fundamentals

This 15-hour course meets one day a week for 1 hour, over a 15-week period and provides an overview of the Building Automation Systems (BAS) industry. Topics include history, industry scope & trends, careers in BAS, manufacturers & contractors, overview of physical point types, required skills, types of systems, and architecture.

This course is one of four in the Building Automation Systems Level 1 Microcredential program. Upon successful completion of the microcredential, participants may qualify for entry-level positions, including Installer, Maintenance Technician, Facilities Manager, Building Commissioning Agent, Building Operator, Energy Auditor, and Energy Manager.
