Certificate Detail: MEDINTDARICERT - Medical Interpreter - Dari Certificate
The 45-hour Medical Interpreter certificate program includes 1 required course. This program addresses the training to be eligible to apply for a Tier-2 Medical Interpreter license and covers basic core knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions. Each course content aligns with national industry-recognized standards. A core knowledge and skills certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of the required course in this program. This training is appropriate for those new to the industry, transitioning from a related discipline or professionals wanting refresher courses. As a result of this training students will be able to facilitate accurate and transparent communication in interpreting sessions using basic medical terminology for the human body, medical symptoms, and basic medical instructions; apply the Medical Interpreter Code of Ethics, HIPAA privacy rules, Utah Mandatory Reporting rules, and professional standards for medical interpreters; demonstrate effective intervention skills with medical professionals and patient; and demonstrate cultural competency in medical interpreting communications. Successful completion of this one-course program qualifies the student to earn the Medical Interpreter Certificate.
