Course Detail: CMPL - Camp Launch

Camp Launch is an overnight camp for young Deaf individuals that focuses on crucial pre-employment and/or college transition skills that will equip them to successfully navigate life post-high school. Campers will stay in campus housing for the duration of the camp. Our focus this summer will be on interpersonal communication and soft skills.  

Everything about the camp is tailored to meet the unique needs of students who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind.  All forms of communication are welcomed, and accommodations will be provided to ensure everything is fully accessible. Campers will engage in fun learning activities, participate in team-building exercises, take advantage of SIUE's Rec Center, and much more!  

The camp is free to those who are between the ages of 14.5 and 22 with an open case with the Department of Rehabilitation Services and are currently enrolled in high school.
