Course Detail: MHFA - Mental Health First Aid

This course teaches you to recognize and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use challenges. You'll learn how to offer initial support to someone (a loved one, community member, colleague, etc.) facing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis. The course is led by trainers certified by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Enrolled participants must complete a required 2-hour online pre-work module before the morning of the scheduled in-person training. Each session will include two breaks and a one-hour lunch period. Participants who meet all requirements will receive a certificate of completion.
