Biography: Kristen Shinn is the Director of Community Support Services at Hoyleton Youth & Family Services and Puentes de Esperanza. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Spanish and a Masters of Social Work from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Kristen began her Social Work career in the Anti-trafficking field in 20212 conducting outreach and training. Kristen has led the Prevention Education and Puentes de Esperanza programs since 2017 as the department Director. These programs support communities throughout the Metro-East Region. She also serves as the Southern Illinois Child Death Investigation Task Force Coordinator which investigates cases of child death and serious life-threatening injury of a child in the 34 most southern counties in Illinois. Furthermore, she oversees the agent's Fiscal Agent Programs, Project Safe Neighborhood Programs that cover regions in Central and Southern Illinois.
