Course Detail: IESA - Process Excellence: Industrial Engineering Summer Academy
Join us for a dynamic, week-long Industrial Engineering Summer Camp, where you will dive into the exciting world of industrial engineering and learn how it shapes the world around us. This camp runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, offering hands-on activities, interactive sessions, and a unique plant tour experience.
Camp Highlights:
- Supply Chain Management: Learn how products move from suppliers to customers efficiently. Engage in hands-on activities to understand the complexities of supply chains and the importance of optimization.
- Total Quality Management (TQM): Explore the principles of TQM and how they ensure products and services meet customer expectations. Participate in interactive exercises that demonstrate the impact of quality control and continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Discover the essentials of project management, including planning, organizing, and managing resources. Work on mini projects to apply these principles in real-world scenarios.
- Simulation: Get an introduction to simulation techniques used in industrial engineering to model and improve processes. Use software tools to simulate different systems and understand how to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Plant Tour- TBA: Cap off the week with an exclusive plant tour, where you'll see industrial engineering principles in action as you explore one of the world's leading aerospace manufacturers. This behind-the-scenes experience will provide a firsthand look at process excellence activities.
This summer academy is perfect for high school students interested in engineering, problem-solving, and how things work. By the end of the week, you will have a solid understanding of key industrial engineering concepts and how they are applied in various industries.
