Course Detail: TAI1 - Tai Chi Chuan

An ancient Chinese system of ballet-like calisthenics that stresses slow breathing, balanced and relaxed postures, and absolute calmness of mind. Like isometrics, it requires no barbells, medicine balls or other equipment; no special costume; and no special place for its practice. Young and old, male and female, weak and strong, all find in Tai Chi Chuan a wonderful source of relaxation and well-being (as stated by Robert W. Smith).
