Course Detail: PSY5 - Evidence-Based Academic Intervention With A Focus on Literacy: Being Explicit About the Elements of Effective Instruction
SIUE Graduate Organization for Child and Adolescent Psychology Students is hosting a virtual workshop. CEUs will be awarded for IDFPR Clinical Psychologists as well as Licensed Clinical Social Workers. ISBE and NASP CPDUs will also be awarded.
Participants will:
- Learn how to communicate the difference between accommodations/modifications and instructional interventions.
- Learn key research-based elements of effective instruction to embed into intervention and into instructional recommendations.
- see examples of explicit literacy instruction and be able to describe how Science of Reading approaches to literacy has emerged and re-emerged.
