Introduction to Effective Stormwater ManagementThe necessity for awareness and proper management of stormwater runoff in our region is expanding. Stormwater runoff from rain and snowmelt introduces pollutants like trash, chemicals, and dirt into local creeks, streams, rivers, and lakes, harming our ecosystem. This course provides an overview of how environmental regulations have evolved to address stormwater pollution to protect water quality.With 20 years of experience, we will review the latest trends and innovations of effective structural and nonstructural best management practices. You will learn about do-it-yourself raingardens and gain knowledge of engineered systems including bioretention and porous pavement.
