Fashion Design Mediums Primer

Build foundational skills in sewing, patterning, and draping while learning the vocabulary used in the making of fashion, clothing, and soft goods.

Fashion students entering the MFA in Fashion Collection + Communication, particularly those with little to no sewing or clothing construction experience, are highly encouraged to take the Fashion Design Primer. This is a non-credit preparatory course intended to facilitate a smooth transition into the major. Admitted graduate students from other majors are welcome to enroll with departmental approval.
