Make It, Sell It: Building a Craft-Based Business

This course helps designers, craftspeople, and artisans understand how to launch a viable small craft-based business. After an in-depth exploration of entrepreneurial principles and best practices, we'll look at examples of real-market craft products, examining what iterations they went through to get to market, how they fared, and after-market adaptations made to increase appeal and profit -- or failing to. The course concludes with students using a step-by-step guide to develop their own small business plan for launching their crafts in the marketplace.
