This course will help students develop their own artistic identity by exploring the pillars of visualstyle: color, light, tonality, form, composition, and subject, and gain an understanding of howthese primary building blocks interact to build a visual syntax. Through regular shootingassignments, critiques, and lectures, students will develop a greater consistency in how theysee and express themselves, allowing their own individual interests, experiences, and values tocome together in their work.
