Build foundational skills in sewing, patterning, and draping. Learn the vocabulary used in the making of clothes and soft goods. 

 

Fashion students entering the MFA in Fashion Collection + Communication are highly encouraged to get a head start by taking Fashion Design Mediums Primer, a non-credit preparatory course intended to facilitate a smooth transition into the major, particularly for students with little, or none, fashion construction experience. Admitted graduate students of other majors are welcome to enroll with departmental approval.
