Introduction to Millinery

This introductory millinery course provides a comprehensive foundation in the design and construction of hats and headwear. Students will explore the creative and technical processes used by professional milliners, learning essential techniques such as blocking, hand and machine sewing, trimming, shaping, and finishing. Through guided projects, participants will develop the skills needed to transform original ideas into wearable designs while gaining an understanding of materials, tools, and industry practices. Open to students of all backgrounds and experience levels, the course encourages individual creativity and personal expression while building professional-level craftsmanship. 

Prerequisite: Basic proficiency in hand and machine sewing required.
