This intensive full-day course will introduce the subject of Healthcare Design from the perspective of Evidence-Based Design (EBD) thinking, as well as the EDAC process, and current best practices. The course will include introductions to healthcare design: research, design criteria for physical design outcomes, healthcare design history and current typologies, and also discuss LEED for Healthcare Design, lighting, sustainable materials, finishes & furniture for healthcare. This course carries 7 LU, 7 AIA, 7 HSW credits.
