Revit/Rhino to 3-D Web Walkthrough

This workshop will introduce architects to techniques for developing AR visualizations of their 3D models. Students will be introduced to contemporary techniques for XR, get a lesson on the Unity Gaming Engine, and be able to create their first AR experience within Unity. Students will share their findings with each other and gain access to additional resources to develop their skills outside of the workshop.Learning objectivesAfter attending this program, participants will:oLearn and understand concepts of real-time rendering technologies and their use in the field of Architecture.oLearn introductory techniques for developing interactive walkthroughs and their potential benefits in a variety of project phases including concept design, schematic design, and design development.oGet an introduction to the Unity game development platform.oLearn the optimal steps required to target the WebGL build platform and host their build online.oLearn workflows for bringing geometry, textures, and texture mapping properties from Rhino/Revit to Unity.oLearn about the post-processing stack and how to create more immersive digital environments by increasing the visual fidelity of their designs.
