Environmental Impact on Design for Health and Wellness

Explore how environmental factors and design can impact health and wellness. Learn to navigate the relationship between environment, design, health and wellness, such as by analyzing health and wellness theories in environmental contexts and applying the findings to a design proposal that supports human health and wellness. Examine materials used in the built environment, including those that support health and wellness and those that are contrary to human health, along with abatement procedures for these materials. This course is one of 5 core required courses within the Design for Health & Wellness certificate program; and can be taken upon completion of the pre-requisite course called "Design for health & Wellness Foundation."
