She is a direct, transparent therapist,specializing in mindfulness-based approaches. She integrates cognitive behavioral andpsychodynamic therapies with a solution-focused, strengths-based approach. Vanessa upholdsa sophisticated set of interpersonal skills allowing her toconnect with others and create a safe,supportive, and empowering environment. Following her own personal recovery with chronicpain, Vanessa understands the importance of meeting the unique needs of each patient. Shealso has a background in treating substance-use disorders, sex therapy, couples therapy, andworks as an on set wellness professional.

Biography: Yoni K. Ashar, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, neuroscientist, and father of three. Yoni's researchuses functional MRI brain imaging, natural language processing, and other tools to understandhow mind and brain processes influence health, especially chronic pain. Yoni is an NIH-fundedpostdoctoral associate at Weill Cornell Medicine, and he completed his doctorate at theUniversity of Colorado Boulder. He conducted the first randomized trial testing PainReprocessing Therapy (PRT), conducts PRT clinician trainings, and leads a PRT supervisiongroup.
