Biography: Dr. Clasina (Sine) Leslie Smith is a physician (MD),licensed to practice allopathic/western medicine and Traditional Asian Medicine in Illinois and California. She completed medical school at the University of Illinois Chicago, College of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Smith initially trained as a general surgeon before a repetitive stress injury prevented her from completing her final year of training in surgery. Acupuncture was the only modality that was effective for her pain, and consequently she became deeply interested in Asian medicine. She completed several years of coursework at the renowned Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles, and studied Structural Acupuncture (Kiiko Matsumoto's Japanese style) through Harvard Medical School, completing that training in June 2012. Since then, she has been focusing her acupuncture studies on the lineage of Masakazu Ikeda sensei, including Edward Obaidey sensei and Noriko Nagato sensei. Most recently, she completed additional certification in acupuncture and has passed all the NCCAOM national boards for her LAc degree ("licensed acupuncturist"). She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Medical Acupuncture (DABMA), serves on the executive board of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture (AAMA website), and is a member of the board of the Integrative Health Policy Consortium (IHPC website). Dr. Smith has multiple additional postgraduate degrees. She obtained a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics because she was passionately curious about understanding the way the body works. She obtained a Master of Arts in Medical Education and Leadership and completed a year-long Fellowship in Surgical Education because she wanted to develop expertise in communicating her knowledge to others. She is published in both fields.

Biography: Jessica Baker, LAc, RH (AHG), is an author, acupuncturist, herbalist and cannabis farmer. Her passion for all medicinal plants is reflected in her formulations, private practice and classes on aromatherapy, herbalism, and Chinese medicine.
Jessica has taught at several herbal symposia and teaches at The Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. Having many years of experience as an acupuncturist and clinician, Jessica is a talented formulator, understanding the importance of plant synergy and energetics.
Jessica owns and operates a commercial cannabis clone nursery, Clone City, in Oklahoma. She has articles published in several magazines, including the Cannabis Nurses Journal, and has completed her first book, Plant Songs: Reflections on Herbal Medicine.

Biography: Dr. Brian Grosam earned his PhD in Acupuncture in 2009 from the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine where he fulfilled clinical studies in gynecology and neurology. Upon completion of his PhD, he became a professor at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine where he taught acupuncture from 2008-2015.
He is the author of Understanding and Treating Hot Flashes in Menopause with Chinese Medicine, the first book in history to be written on the subject. His book combines Chinese medicine concepts with current Western medicine frameworks of science for a contemporary treatment approach to hot flashes. Additionally, he has written several articles, lectured at medical symposiums, and has taught online continuing education courses on a range of subjects including hot flashes and menopausal transition.
Dr. Grosam is a member of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine, a Diplomate of Chinese Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and a member of the North American Menopause Society.

Biography: Matt Callison has over 27 years experience in sports medicine, acupuncture and cadaver dissection.
Renowned instructor and published author of the Motor Points and Acupuncture Meridians Chart and quintessential texts, such as the Motor Point Index (MPI) Reference Guide and the newly released text book, Sports Medicine Acupuncture: An Integrated Approach Combining Sport Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (smartextbook.com).
Matt Callison's unique ability to blend Chinese Medicine with Sports Medicine for over 27 years is demonstrated by his excellent reputation. This is particularly evident in his educational program, Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification Program, which is attended by acupuncturists worldwide. He also has over 27 years experience in cadaver dissection that has helped him to further broaden and deepen his educational program for the acupuncturist.
Matt had a clinical practice for over 26 years and is well-known for developing innovative and successful treatment protocols for musculoskeletal injury. As Clinic Supervisor for Pacific College at the University of California's San Diego Sports Medicine RIMAC Center, Matt guides acupuncture interns in providing sports medicine acupuncture to their athletes.

Biography: Jenny Nieters, L.Ac. DACM has a clinical practice in Alameda, California, specializing in the assessment and treatment of sports injuries, pain and athletic performance. Dr. Nieters is a team acupuncturist for the San Francisco 49ers Football team and the Saint Mary's College Men's Rugby team.
She has been teaching continuing education for acupuncturists as part of Whitfield Reaves' Sports Medicine Apprenticeship program and has also developed her own courses for advanced study of sports injuries and athletic performance.
