Anthony Lisi

Biography: Anthony Lisi, DC is the Chiropractic Program Director for the Veterans Health Administration, overseeing all national programmatic issues related to the integration of chiropractic clinical services, education and research.
In 2004 he was the first chiropractor appointed to the medical staff of the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, where he developed processes for integrating hospital-based chiropractic services and inter-professional clinical education.
He is also an Assistant Professor at the Yale School of Medicine, section of the biomedical informatics and data science, and has authored over 70 peer-reviewed papers on topics including low back pain management, spinal manipulation, inter-professional education, and chiropractic sciences.
Dr. Lisi is a senior member of the Clinical Practice Guidelines Development Committee of the North American Spine Society, and he received the American Chiropractic Association's 2015 Academician of the Year, 2017 Chiropractic of the Year, and 2023 Humanitarian of the Year awards.

Biography: Dr. Johnson is Medical Director and Director of CNS Imaging at the Center for Diagnostic Imaging. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Minnesota. After radiology residency training, he completed a neuroradiology fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute. His first appointment was staff neuroradiologist and subsequently Chief of Neuroradiology at David Grant Medical Center in California. He also had an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco. After relocating to the Twin Cities, he had a clinical appointment as associate professor at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Dr. Johnson authored and co-authored numerous articles and book chapters on topics including intracranial pathology, head & neck imaging and spine injection procedures. He lectures extensively on these areas of interest, and has been invited to speak at several national and international society and educational meetings.

Having taught a number of courses in anatomy, physiology and microbiology, Dr Farrar is known for his engaging classroom "vibe", his dedication to human connection and the role of anatomy in living life every day.

Biography: Joe Muldoon, BS, MS, DC graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1991 as a doctor of chiropractic, and he completed his BS in human biology in 2002. He completed his Masters of Science in Human Anatomy and Physiology from New York Chiropractic College in 2017. He is an assistant professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University, and he contributes to the cadaver labs held at numerous continuing education seminars offered by the University.

Biography: Annette Schippel, DC, graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1998. Her passion for pediatrics and nutrition resulted in a large family practice with an emphasis on women, children, and clinical nutrition.
Her reputation has brought her a continuing flow of patients from across the U.S. and even other countries. Her expertise in functional medicine has contributed to the success of her holistic practice and has allowed her to become a respected public health educator in her profession.
Dr. Schippel has traveled the world teaching thousands of practitioners about functional endocrinology and its application for the patient. She has written and co-written numerous clinical manuals. Her expertise in this field has led to appearances as a guest speaker at national and international conferences. She was given the great honor of speaking at the 2014 International Health Management Forum.
In 2011, she partnered with Dr. Doris Kutz-Compton to start the Endocrine Wellness program.

Biography: Anish Bajaj, DC began his practice in chiropractic in New York City in 2001 with a focus on wellness and integrative health care strategies. Clinically, Dr. Bajaj specializes in the Sacro-Occiptal-Technique, Soft Tissue Orthopedics, Extremity Adjusting, Electro-Therapeutics, Custom Orthotics and Cold Laser Applications. He currently owns and operates Bajaj Chiropractic in New York City and Well Rooted Health in Westfield, NJ.
He served as brain research consultant to the Path Foundation and co-founded the American Decompression Pro Chiropractors which introduces the patented Neuro-Oxy Spinal Decompression Technique. His research in the fields of chiropractic, subluxation, neuroscience, addiction, electrotherapeutics, genetics and cognitive functional correlations to bone metabolism were published in peer-reviewed journals including BMC Endocrine Disorders. He has authored articles on patient communications, sleep, extremity care and the advancement of chiropractic neurology.
As an anti-aging expert, he served as instructor for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine where he lectured around the U.S., as well as Paris, Singapore, and Beijing as a guest of the World Congress on Anti-Aging.
He serves on the Executive Board of the New York Chiropractic Council, was the recipient of the 2022 Chiropractor of the Year Award and is current Vice President Elect. As the founding Chair of Neuroscience and Research Committee he has developed content for practitioner development amid the Opioid crisis. Biography: Jason M. Landry, MSAOM, LAc, is a licensed practitioner in the states of Minnesota and Washington and the owner of Lake Washington Integrative Medicine. He holds a Masters of Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University. He has completed advanced training in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of sports related injuries and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
As a ranked faculty member and clinical supervisor for master's and doctorate students at Northwestern Health Sciences University, he has also prepared acupuncturists to deliver specialized treatment and pain management protocols in an integrative care setting. Biography: Joel Alcantara, DC was born in the Philippines and grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A graduate from the University of Calgary with a BSc in Chemistry, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1995 from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West (San Jose, CA).
He is currently the Research Director of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and oversees the largest and most established practice-based research network in chiropractic.
He publishes extensively on pediatric chiropractic, the chiropractic care of pregnant women and general family wellness care. He has made numerous presentations at medical and chiropractic conferences all over the world and contributed chapters in textbooks of chiropractic.
He is currently completing his PhD in Health Science at Southern Cross University (Lismore, Australia).

Biography: Robert Silverman, DC, DACBN, DCBCN, MS, CCN, CNS, CSCS, CIISN, CKTP, CES, HKC, FAKTR is a chiropractic doctor, clinical nutritionist, national/international speaker, author of Amazon's #1 bestseller "Inside-Out Health", founder and CEO of Westchester Integrative Health Center. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic and has a Master of Science in human nutrition. The ACA Sports Council named Dr Silverman "Sports Chiropractor of the Year" in 2015. He is on the advisory board for the Functional Medicine University and is a seasoned health and wellness expert on both the speaking circuits and the media. A NWHSU graduate, she became a faculty member in the methods department in 2022. Dr. Heim is still combining her two passions by working with students and interns in a multitude of chiropractic technique courses and the university clinics.

Biography: Scott Oswald, DC received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) in 2006 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Athletic Training from the University of Minnesota in 1999.
He currently works as an assistant professor and faculty clinician at NWHSU. In that role his is responsible for creation and development of course content, supervising clinical interns, supervising student clubs and being a faculty advisor to T1 students in the chiropractic program.
He has owned and operated his own clinics, been a case manager for Be the Match and worked as a personal trainer, and assistant athletic trainer. He has worked as a consult to several local sports teams and providers.
He received the NWHSU Dean's award for distinguished teaching in 2017. A customer service excellence award in 2002 from the Northwest Athletic Club and Student Athletic Trainer of the year in 1999 from the University of MN.

Biography: Dr. Shiloh Heesch is originally from New Effington, SD inrural northeastern South Dakota where he lived with his parents - Rick &Wanda - and two older sisters. He attended Rosholt High School and grew up as amultisport athlete playing football, basketball, and track & field.Following high school, he chose to attend North Dakota State University inFargo, ND, to pursue an Exercise Science degree where he remained for hisfreshman year until transferring to Dakota State University in Madison, SDwhere he played football and was involved in various clubs and activities,including attending the Northland Regional ACSM meetings. After completing his bachelor's degree in 2016, Shilohattended Northwestern Health Sciences University and became an active member inclubs and activities. He served on the SACA Sports Council for two terms, amongother leadership positions, and spent his final year completing an internship atthe NWHSU Human Performance Center. Following his graduation in April 2021, he began to practicein Sioux Falls, SD where he was the team chiropractor for the Women's FootballAlliance team, the Sioux Falls Snow Leopards, and the NBA G-League team SiouxFalls Skyforce. He recently began his master's program at Concordia - St.Paul in Exercise Science with a research project in the works for his thesis.In July 2022, Shiloh was accepted as the newest Sports Chiropractic Resident atthe NWHSU Human Performance Center in Bloomington, MN.

Biography: Chris Major, DC, DACBR, ATC, is an associate professor inthe department of diagnostic imaging at Northwestern Health SciencesUniversity (NWHSU). He teaches courses on spinalanatomy, congenital anomalies, trauma, and arthritis. He also practices radiology with theRadiological Consultation Services at NWHSU. Prior to attendingchiropractic school, Dr. Major graduated from the University of Wisconsin-EauClaire with a degree in Athletic Training, where he had the opportunity to workwith a wide variety of athletes, including an internship with the NFL's KansasCity Chiefs. He is a chiropractor with aspecial passion for radiology and teaching. He enjoys camping, cross-country skiing, and playing on a small hobbyfarm with his wife and 9-year-old daughter.

Biography: Dr. Rich received his DC degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic and then completed a three-year fulltime imaging residency. After passing the board-certification examinations, he accepted a position as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Sciences Department at Northwestern. While at Northwestern, he lectured extensively for the imaging and continuing education departments, provided imaging consultation for the campus based film interpretation service, and treated patients in the University Health Service. In 1999 he was honored as Northwestern's Teacher-of-the-Year. In 2003 Dr. Rich accepted a position at National University of Health Sciences as the Director of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. He was also Faculty Director for the Imaging Residency Program and Director of the National MRI Center. Dr. Rich re-joined the faculty of NWHSU in September 2005. He enjoys his time lecturing and spending time "in the dark" interpreting imaging studies. In his free time he spends time with his wife and nine children and serving in the local church.

Biography: Christopher Smoley is currently an assistant professor and chair of the Radiology Department at Northwestern Health Sciences University. He is a Minnesota native raised in Sartell,just outside of St. Cloud. He did most of hisundergraduate work at St. Cloud State University. He went on to earn his BS andDC degrees from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Chris wasaccepted into the diagnostic imaging residency at Parker University in Dallas,Tx; here he successfully completed his residency and board examinations earninghim his DACBR. After passing his board examinations he became faculty at Parkerfor one year. He was offered a position at D'Youville College in Buffalo,NY as an assistant professor of radiology. He wasthe chair of the assessment team, authored a CCE response for assessmentshortly after his arrival, and later a self-study. He was theaccreditation liaison and lead the program to a successful 8-year CCE accreditation of the chiropractic program. He also wrote and submitted a new curriculum to New YorkState and CCE, that was successfully accepted by both. While serving atD'Youville College he was the Examsoft Campus Administrator for all the programs and an active participant in the regional accreditation,assessment, and curriculum committees for both graduate and undergraduateprograms. He was awarded faculty of the year each year at D'Youville Collegeand Distinguished Educator of the Year at Parker University. Before leavingD'Youville College for a faculty position closer to home at Palmer College inDavenport, IA he was the Executive Director of the D'Youville Chiropractic Program. Since his time at D'Youville College he has been hired as an externalconsultant for program assessment and is a reviewer for Chiropractic and ManualTherapies, The Journal of Chiropractic Education, and Osmosis.org. He also readsMSK studies for diagnostic imaging facilities across Texas part-time.

Biography: Heidi L. Mendenhall, MS, DC, DACBR is a board-certified chiropractic radiologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Northwestern Health Sciences University. During her undergraduate education in biology at The University of Wisconsin-Madison, she discovered a passion for anatomy and physiology. She completed the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2009. After graduation, she completed a diagnostic imaging residency at Northeast College of Health Sciences and passed the Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology (DACBR)examinations in 2012. She has been interpreting musculoskeletal diagnostic imaging studies for health care providers ever since. Biography: Jordan Knowlton-Key currently serves as the chiropractic sports physician at the Lake Placid United States Olympic and Paralympic (USOPC) Training Center. He completed his chiropractic doctorate at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) and obtained his Masters of Exercise Science from Concordia St. Paul University.
After graduation, he completed a two-year sports chiropractic residency at NWHSU's Human Performance Center (HPC), a clinic that focuses on integrative health care for athletes. Following his residency, he served in a faculty position as the Integrative Sports Care Coordinator of the HPC while working as a provider in private practice.
Dr. Jordan is thrilled to continue working in an integrative setting while working alongside numerous and phenomenal DPTs, MDs, ATCs, MTs, dieticians, psychological service providers, strength and conditioning coaches, and clinical administration staff in Lake Placid.
The Lake Placid USOPC Training Center's resident sports are biathlon, bobsled/skeleton, and Luge. These sports align well with his passion for outdoor adventure sports, which led him to become an Alpine Ski Patroller in addition to being an emergency medical technician to serve athletes best in and out of the clinic setting.

Biography: Sripathy Umapathi, DC, MHS graduated from NWHSU with a doctor of chiropractic degree in 2017, and completed a Masters in Applied Clinical Nutrition in 2020.
He currently serves as the medical director at Saint Paul Wellness Center/Minnesota Community Care. The clinic is as a safety net for the multi-lingual, multi-cultural community at large, and provides timely, respectful and high-quality patient care services. He collaborates with clinicians from various disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes for their patients.
He continues to promote the relationship between NWHSU and Minnesota Community Care to strengthen chiropractic's role in the integrated healthcare delivery model.

Biography: Dr. Kim Ledermann graduated from the University of MinnesotaSchool of Dentistry in 2002. She has a broad-based background in generaldentistry performed in both private and nonprofit clinics, which has includedseeing patients under general anesthesia in a hospital setting. Additionally,she has a master's degree in speech-language pathology and is experienced inthe treatment of oropharyngeal dysfunction. She has completedextensive training and mini residencies in the areas of craniofacial/orofacialpain and sleep for children and adults, cranio-cervical and craniomandibularpathophysiology, and orthodontics. She is married with 2 children, a dog,and a cat. She enjoys traveling, music, spending time with friends andfamily, and volunteering locally and internationally.
