Dr. R. Ernest Cohn, received his Doctorate in Chiropractic (D.C.) and X-Ray proficiency in 1977 from the Palmer College of Chiropractic, his Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree from UNIREMHOS School of Medicine in 1997 and his Naturopathic Medical Doctor (N.M.D.) degree from American University of Integrative Medicine in 2001. Additionally he has an A.S. and a B.S. degree in the Sciences. Additionally

Dr. Cohn has completed many programs advancing his clinical skills including the following certification programs.

• Certified as an Examiner in Neurovascular diagnosis through the International Academy of Neurovascular Diagnosis in 1981.
• Certified (Initial) in the Evaluation and Rating of Permanent Impairment of the Whole Person through the National College of Chiropractic in 1984.
• Certified in Meridian Therapy and Acupuncture - National College of Chiropractic in 1983.
• Certified in Industrial Injury Analysis and Prevention N.C. A. & T. University 1985.
• Board Certification from the North American Academy of Impairment Rating Physicians -Certified Impairment Rating instructor and examiner - 1992.
• Certification and licensed by the State of N.C. Board of Massage and Body Work - 2000.
• ACAM trained in Chelation Therapy and received his BCCT in oral and IV therapies in 1996.
• CNDA Certification in IV Nutritional Therapy 2008.
• ACAM trained and certified in Ozone therapy 2011.
• National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners 2014.

r. Cima's journey to becoming a chiropractor started when he was young. At age 13 or 14, he suffered a back injury. It got worse until he was in constant pain that would go away sometimes, but always returned with a vengeance.

After he had graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science, there were days when he couldn't get off the floor. Someone suggested to Dr. Cima that he visit a chiropractor. His back improved quickly. Amazed at the results and combined with his desire to be in the health field, he decided to enroll at New York Chiropractic College, graduating with honors and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

In his last year of school, he came across a quote from Thomas Edison about the doctor of the future:  "The doctor of the future will give no medication but will interest his patients in diet, care of the human frame, and the cause and prevention of disease."

Although the definition was near perfect, there was no how-to manual that explained how the doctor was going to treat his patients. From that day forward, he was hooked, and wanted to become the doctor of the future. Dr. Cima devoted his life to health and wellness, and forty-four years later has created a health and wellness program that lives up to Mr. Edison's vision of the doctor of the future.

Dr.Mirtz is currently an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department ofSecondary and Physical Education at Bethune-Cookman University in DaytonaBeach, Florida.

His area of teaching expertise is Biomechanics/Kinesiology, Adapted PhysicalEducation, Motor Learning and Development and Elementary Physical EducationMethods. Dr. Mirtz also possesses specialized background in health/exercisescience, clinical sciences, health education, and preventive medicine/publichealth. Currently, he is teaching Exercise Physiology, Pathophysiology ofExercise, and Kinesiology/Biomechanics and Senior Research Seminar and haspreviously taught Motor Learning and Development, Adapted Physical Education,and Introduction to Sports Medicine. He has also taught Elementary PhysicalEducation Methods and Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries.

Dr. Mirtz's research interests cover three areas: child physical activity,physical education methods and alternative health methods. Currently, he is workingwith the College of Health Sciences with the Disparities in Arthritis Pain andPhysical Activity (DAPPA). He is also the Director of the Motor SkillsEducation Program & Clinic.

Dr. Mirtz has taught in higher education since 2004 and has experience teachingelementary and secondary PE in charter public schools and private Christianelementary schools as well as serving as an adapted physical educator forcommunity based educational organizations along with being a PE TeacherEducation coordinator. He also teaches post-graduate continuing educationthrough the Florida Chiropractic Physician's Association. Topics presentedinclude "cardiopathology", "neuroplasticity and pain" and"clinical approaches to working with individuals with disabilities".
