Laura is a board-certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner specializing in integrative and functional medicine. Her most recent role was at the Allina Health Penny George Institute for Health and Healing located in Minneapolis, MN where she served as the Clinical Lead for the Integrative & Functional Medicine specialty service line. She received a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from the University of Minnesota in 2012 with dual specialties as an Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and in Integrative Health and Healing and then completed additional training through the Institute for Functional Medicine. Laura co-teaches "Introduction to Integrative Mental Health" at the Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota. She has also co-authored chapters in the Integrative Nursing textbook in the Weil Integrative Medicine series. In 2016 she was awarded The University of Minnesota School of Nursing Rising Star Award.
