Instructor: Joel Alcantara

Biography: Joel Alcantara, DC was born in the Philippines and grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A graduate from the University of Calgary with a BSc in Chemistry, he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1995 from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West (San Jose, CA).

He is currently the Research Director of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and oversees the largest and most established practice-based research network in chiropractic.

He publishes extensively on pediatric chiropractic, the chiropractic care of pregnant women and general family wellness care. He has made numerous presentations at medical and chiropractic conferences all over the world and contributed chapters in textbooks of chiropractic.

He is currently completing his PhD in Health Science at Southern Cross University (Lismore, Australia).
