CAHC2503 - Chiropractic Acupuncture Hybrid Certificate #3 of 4
This 17-hour session and its six-hour online component will cover auriculotherapy and adjunctive therapy (moxibustion, cupping) with internal disorders. Here is the hourly breakdown of the in person session.
Treatment protocols and point formulas for addictions and other chronic health problems in the auriculotherapy system will be introduced. Extensive supervised laboratory practicum will be used to instruct attendees in identifying proper auricular point location, along with needle, ASPs, and bead/tack application. (2 Hours)
Cupping practice and demonstration with extensive supervised laboratory practicum will be used to instruct attendees in identifying proper point location, and application of techniques including wet, flash, stationary and sliding cupping. (2 Hours)
Moxibustion practice and demonstration with extensive supervised laboratory practicum will be used to teach application, placement of indirect cones as well as needles moxa, pole moxa, self-adhesive moxa, topical liquid moxa and smokeless moxa. (2 hours)
Practical demonstration and review of online learning of tongue diagnosis in TCM. (2 Hours)
TCM diagnosis techniques using 5 element, facial and body morphology (2 Hours).
Internal Disorders
A systematic approach to the conditions relating to the following regions: Internal Disorders (3 Hours). Extensive supervised laboratory practicum to provide the attendee with hands-on time to refine specific point location and needle insertion and electroacupuncture. Supervised laboratory mock practical examination. (4 Hours).
