Course Detail: YES-9000 - (9 a.m.-12 p.m.) Smells, Sounds, and Sweet Surprises: Exploring the Science of Bees (Grades 3-6)

In this hands on, multi sensory class, students explore the incredible world of bees through smell, sound, movement, and taste. From learning how bees help plants make seeds to discovering how bees detect dangerous smells, students investigate real world science concepts through creative experiments and interactive challenges. Learners use Cheetos to model how bees move pollen from plant to plant, sample different types of honey to explore variation and taste and make beeswax candles without melting wax. This engaging experience blends biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering while encouraging curiosity, problem solving, and teamwork.
