Private Pilot Ground School

Dates: June 3 to July 15, 2025. 

Times: Tuesdays, Thursdays  6 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Course Description: The objective of this course is to orient the incoming student to flight training and provide the theory and concepts needed for preparing for the FAA private pilot aeronautical knowledge test (airplane). Flight time fees not included. Topics include: airplane systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments, procedures & airport operations, communications procedures, weather, regulations, weather services, aircraft performance, navigation, route flight, and cross-country flight planning.

GovState's Pilot License Program is a non-credit, non-degree offering.  It focuses on getting a Commercial Pilot License only and does not lead to a bachelor's degree.
