Course Description:

Longtime Knowledge Exchange class presenter Myras Osman returns with his latest course on the race for dominance in space exploration with a look at one of the positive aspects of the Cold War: the competition between the United States and the Soviet Union over the race to be the first in space.

Class will explore how our American Space program went from a series of embarrassing and very public failures with the Soviets in the lead to achieving the first, and so far only, manned explorations of the lunar surface.
