The English for Flight Training Assessment (EFTA) is a speaking and listening test designed to determine a test taker's overall readiness to participate in flight training conducted in English. It measures how language skills are likely to support or interfere with the individual's ability to learn and communicate effectively in a flight training environment. Although questions on the EFTA may relate to aviation or flight, aviation knowledge is not evaluated.
