This class will cover the basic information you need to know to grow plants, whether those are edible plants or just your landscape. This will class is a good primer for those just starting to garden, and even for those who know something about gardening but are not sure of some of the aspects of gardening. We'll start with what to look for in buying plants, how to prepare the soil, what needs to be done before planting, how to plant, how to water, how much to water, and when to apply fertilizer, if needed. We will also touch on how the environment interacts with the plants, such as weather, insects, weeds, etc. There will also be some customization of the course to include topics the students have interest in.
Kathy Bagwell, Master Gardener
