This six part series, with a 7ths follow-up session, is designed to build proficiencies for leaders within the organization. Participants develop proficiencies related to the skills taught and measured by specific scoring rubrics. Classes combine group discussions, case studies, professional reading, and activities to deliver training objectives. Each session is four hours and meets on a rotational basis, allowing time to reflect and apply new skills in the work environment. Inter-session work is assigned both for the individual and peer learning groups.

Participants articulate general HR knowledge and demonstrate core behavioral competencies essential for business success; connect case studies and questions to the SHRM Body of Competencies and Knowledge (SHRM BoCK); identify how the latest HR regulations, trends and best practices help drive overall business success.

Participants study the four learning modules that are based on the SHRM Learning System which covers the SHRM Body of Competence and Knowledge (SHRM BoCK) tested on the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP exam; demonstrate an understanding of contemporary human resource issues using discussions, real-life examples, exam practice questions, videos and pre/post assessments.

Participants review retired exam questions, case studies, and successful exam strategies to prepare to sit for the rigorous SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification exam.
