Training Information: CED-0902 - Electrical Type S - 144 HR

This 144-hour course introduces students to Chapters 1-4 of the NFPA 70 National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E Electrical Safety, and Vermont Electrical Safety Rules. Designed as Level 1 of the four-year Electrical Apprenticeship Program, it prepares students for a future journeyman license while qualifying them to apply for a Type S specialty license with 2,000 hours of documented field experience. Instruction blends lectures and PowerPoints with industry resources, building a strong foundation in electrical safety, code navigation, and workplace practices.
