Training Information: CED-0581 - IA Wastewater Service Providers Training I: Regulations, Chemistry & Environmental Impacts
For Vermont IA Service Providers!
The State of Vermont hopes to move from Approval of IA Service Providers toward state licensure of Innovative/Alternative Services Providers for Wastewater Disposal Systems. In anticipation of this, the VT Department of Environmental Conversation Drinking Water and Groundwater Protection Division (DWGPD) is working with Vermont State University to offer these state-approved workshops and individual certification in 2023 and 2024.
This first workshop will focus on wastewater chemistry, low and high-strength wastewater, environmental impacts, approved IA technologies, and regulatory requirements, including permit amendments.
Topics for the second training in May 2024 will be developed from attendees' feedback in this first training and DCWGPD staff.
Made possible through a state grant, there is no cost to attendees. Future offerings of the workshops may be fee-based.
