This master clinic is designed to be a hands-on workshop on woodwind and brass performance and pedagogy. The aim of the course is to provide music educators with an opportunity to refresh their knowledge about the fundamentals of woodwind and brass teaching and performance while also delving into advanced concepts on each instrument to support students that reach higher levels of instrumental development.


July 15-19, 2024, Corthell Concert Hall
In this course, students will apply the principles of philosophical inquiry - clarifying ideas, questioning assumptions, and applying new insights to practice - as we consider historical and contemporary thinking about music, music education, and teaching and learning within an ever evolving set of beliefs and practices. The course will have a face-to-face introductory meeting and the remainder of the course will feature self-directed projects designed in collaboration with the course instructor. This course is required for students pursuing an MM in Music Education.


June 13-7, 2024
In this course, we will explore processes and experiences in music making, teaching, and learning that shape the development of musical capacities through the domains of cognitive, social, and developmental psychology.


July 1-25, 2024
This two-day immersion in the SPIRITWORKS method promotes a practice of rigorous self-discovery designed to cultivate 5 Attributes that are key to achieving transformative outcomes in classrooms, schools and communities.

The Teachers' Collaborative is an opportunity for educators to discuss and research topics in the field of education. These topics may include differentiation, proficiency based grading & teaching, and other topics that are current with today's educators. We believe that working as acollaborative we can better help prepare our students for the 21st Century learning that is so important in today's world. This is also an excellent opportunity for teachers to share assessment tools, teaching styles and techniques and some of the latest innovations in teaching education. We are an assorted group of educators with different needs that will have an opportunity to share and build on each other's knowledge and ideas.

Toadvance to a skill level where one can create complex structures, one mustfirst begin by learning the basics of box making.
