Kiya Smith and Elizabeth Manning, both neighborhood residents, will meet us at the Brentwood Farms Community Garden (near Evergreen Cemetery) to talk about the origin of this local community garden. Both are founders of Brentwood, one of the first City-sanctioned Community Gardens, designed and created by the neighbors in the Deering Center Neighborhood.

Monday, July 1, 2019
Portland's City Arborist Jeff Tarling and Ethan Newton will meet with us to talk about the various versions of the city's rose garden, and why the previous one was purposely dug up within the past few years and a new one planted.

Monday, June 17, 2019
We will again feature Jeff Tarling from the Parks Department, who will accompany us as we tour the Longfellow Arboretum in Payson Park.

Monday, June 24, 2019

You don't have to drive, you don't have to think about traffic, you don't have to worry about parking or parking meters. And, you arrive fresh and ready to enjoy the Toulouse-Lautrec and Kahlo exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts, have lunch at one of its restaurants, and then be given a special, private tour at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
