Project Risk Management
This course focuses on how to manage and communicate risk in your project. Because projects are unique and their outcomes uncertain, the project manager has only one chance to do it right. Learn tools and techniques that contribute to effective risk management and improve the chances for successful project results.
You will learn to identify, evaluate and prioritize project risks, assess risks using a variety of qualitative and quantitative tools, build a risk management plan, define risk averse and risk seeking behavior, develop response plans for the most important risks, and create a tool for tracking risk events. Prerequisite: It is preferable to first complete the "Effective Project Management" course or have a basic knowledge of the PMBOK Guide. Students are required to bring the PMBOK Guide to class.
