Course Title: (HIS11126, HIS11226) THE HUNTING ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE, HISTORY, OPERATION, AND FUTURE

This class uses a random draw selection for participation, with participants being notified on September 22, 2026. If selected, you'll be notified and must pay a $10 supply fee to confirm your spot. If not selected, you'll be waitlisted and contacted if a space opens. 

Please do not show up unless you've been confirmed and paid stand-by admittance is no longer allowed.

A presentation covering general lighthouse history, its operation, and the history of the Hunting Island Lighthouse will be held at the Hunting Island State Park Visitor Center. This will be followed by a guided tour of the lighthouse and light station, including a climb of the 167 steps, exhibit visits, and a stop at the new lens enclosure and Fresnel lens.
