This is a deep dive into the 100-year history of shrimping in Beaufort County, SC. This comprehensive two-hour course covers notable milestones, including the formation of the HHI Black Fisherman COOP, the vibrant history of Benny Hudson, and the significant events involving BASF and Chicago Bridge & Iron. This course provides insightful local, humorous stories that only Capt. Woody can provide.

Capt. Woody Collins

Biography: CAPT. WOODY COLLINS was, by his own admission, an average shrimper. Like many others, he started while in high school in the 1950's. Raised in Port Royal and Beaufort, he came to Hilton Head in the 1970's. He owned five shrimp boats and retired in 2008.
