Course Title: (SPO204) FORT FREDERICK /CAMP SAXTON KAYAK TOUR

Join us on a 3-mile, tide-assisted kayak trip to Fort Frederick/Camp Saxton, exploring Beaufort County's historic waterways. We land to visit the Emancipation Oak and learn its significance, alongside viewing some of South Carolina's oldest tabby walls.

Course Notes:

Bring plenty of drinking water, dress for the weather, and wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. Beaufort Kayak Tours will provide guides, kayaks, paddles, and PFDs. Single and tandem kayaks are available and will be assigned at the time of launch. Every effort will be made to accommodate your kayaking request.

Jim and Terri Pohorsky

Biography: Teri Pohorsky has over 30 years of international kayaking and teaching experience and holds a master's degree as a reading specialist. She is also a certified Master Naturalist from the Lowcountry.

Jim Pohorsky has explored the Lowcountry by kayak for over 25 years. Both Teri and Jim are graduates of Iowa State University.
