Course Detail: BIOT103 - BIOTERRORISM 2020 SIMULATION (High School)
Bioterrorism 2020 Simulation: The year is 2020 and you have just been exposed to a bio agent in a bioterrorist attack. Who do you call? How do you protect yourself and your home or environment? Students identify and learn about the agencies responding to a bioterrorist attack. They develop their own plan and will be able to differentiate between a bioterrorist versus a terrorist attack.
This hands-on course brings in industry experts from the field of bioterrorism and creates a fun learning platform. Students can inquire about possible career options, educational requirements for entry level positions, and the job outlook in the next 20 years. At the end of the week, students will showcase a 3-D model, the effects of bioterrorism in a specific area and the agencies involved in mitigating and/or preventing a bioterrorist attack.
LUNCH: Students staying for full day or for both morning and afternoon sessions can bring or buy their lunch. All students will eat lunch on Campus in The Commons, a small food court.
