Matyas Marek: International Master Do you have a student looking to grow as a competitive chess player? Are you interested in affordable and personalized instruction? Students in UMBC'S chess development program, Chess Academy, will work one-on-one with an experienced, titled player from the UMBC Chess Team.

Price: $150 for 3, 50 minute, sessions

LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE! BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE CHESS: Chess teaches critical thinking and problem solving, giving students the mental discipline needed to succeed in school and in life. Studies have shown that chess helps kids to improve their math and reading skills. Spend a week learning chess from instructors who are seasoned tournament competitors. The summer Chess Academy teaches students of all different skill levels.
