Alabama Autism Pre-Conference Workshop
The goal of this workshop is to gain a better understanding of how to support fulfilling and positive outcomes for autistic youth as they transition into adulthood. We will discuss ways to think about "good outcomes" by drawing from new research and examining the aspects of employment and social engagement that are related to quality of life and mental health in this group. Next, we will discuss ways for autistic youth to be actively involved in the decisions about their services and activities. Finally, we will discuss services that can support their community involvement.
