| BHM107 August Wilson - His Life and The Pittsburgh Cycle in 3 Plays Time: Noon-1:30 p.m. Dates: July 6, 13, 20, 27 Instructor: Kel Laeger Over the course of four classes, we will explore the life and times of the black playwright August Wilson in conjunction with three of his ten plays that were part of the Pittsburgh Cycle. Wilson's ten-play cycle presented Black life with a unique perspective on America in the 20th century. The three plays we will explore will be "Gem of the Ocean," "The Piano Lesson" and "Two Trains Running." |
