Course Detail: WTPE501 - Methods of Teaching PE Lifetime Activities

This 30-hour course meets over an 8-week period for 3.5 hours per week. As a result of this training, students will be able to develop and implement lesson plans develop and implement various PE Skills/Individual Lifetime Activities lesson plans, monitor and evaluate student motor skill progression in individual lifetime activities, discuss how physical education impacts mental, social physical, and emotional well-being, and create IEP goals based on data.

This course is one of four designed for Utah K-12 educators seeking a PE Endorsement. This online course will introduce you to basic teaching practices for PE/Skills & Individual Lifetime Activities. Students will develop and implement strategies for teaching motor skill progression by applying the Utah State Core Standards.
