Program Detail: K12PEDAGOGYCERT - K-12 Pedagogy Workforce Microcredential

This series of five courses meets the pedagogical competency-based requirements of Utah State Board of Education (USBE) for Alternative Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) candidates to earn a Professional Educator License (PEL) in the state of Utah. Each course is competency-based with teacher candidates proving competency at both the application and demonstration levels in the areas of instructional clarity, classroom climate, professional educator responsibilities, and instructional practices that empower students as learners and promote student learning.
Student Consent for Release of Records
To receive MIDAS credit, Utah state educators must complete the Student Consent for Release of Records Form. This form authorizes SLCC to share your final grade with the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).

Requirements:
You must earn a grade of C or higher.
Submit a physically signed copy of the consent form.
Include a valid, unexpired photo ID (scan or clear photo).
