Course Detail: HESWL - Heavy-Equipment - Small Wheel Loader
This high-tech, equipment-specific course utilizes hybrid training for students to learn the essential skills needed to safely and effectively operate a CaterpillerŪ Small Wheel Loader. Students go from zero-to ready with a combination of hands-on training in CaterpillerŪ Simulators and self-paced online curriculum. Operational techniques and training exercises for this machinery include:
- Machine Walkaround & Controls Familiarization
- Driving, Load & Carry
- Stockpile & Truck Loading
- Bucket Backfill, Carry Objects & Quick Coupler
- Open Training: Practice Sessions in Simulator & Virtual Environment
- Competency Quizzes & Skill Tests
*Despite advertised start/end times and listed schedule, this course is open for enrollment from July 2022 until June 2023.
