Course Detail: ID0719 - AutoCAD 1 for MAC Users

In this course, students will learn the methods and techniques of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for use in creating interior designs, drafting both rough ideas and accurate finished drawings. This course will cover 2D drawings, teaching the basic commands to familiarize students with the software, which will culminate in completing a floor plan with furniture. The instructor will email the computer's System Requirements to ensure that students can download the free student version of the software, along with download instructions before classes begin. A MAC laptop or MAC computer and Mouse are required. No tablets or cellphones can be used. Required text: "AutoCAD for Interior Design and Space Planning" by Beverly L. Kirkpatrick, BFA, NCIDQ, Adjunct Faculty, James M. Kirkpatrick and Hossein Assadipour, 2022 edition, Peachpit Press (Prerequisites Drawing 1)
