Januari Wilson, MSW, LCSW serves in the position of UniversityLecturer, Senior Status, and Director of Field Education for the Department of SocialWork at Governors State University. Ms. Wilson is a practicing licensedclinical social worker and a graduate of the University of Illinois atUrbana-Champaign, completing a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master'sdegree in social work. She has worked in social services since 1998, primarily incommunity mental health. Her various roles have included being a case manager, clinicaltherapist, program manager, and clinical supervisor for more than 20 years. Inaddition to direct practice, Ms. Wilson has dedicated much of her career tomentoring and training fellow social work professionals through serving as a trainerand presenter, classroom instructor, a field liaison, a supervision consultantand a field based clinical instructor to social work students.
