Join retired High School History teacher and Knowledge Exchange class leader Myras Osman for a study of WWII from the American perspective. This class will look at life on the front through the experiences of what it was like to serve in the American infantry, a tank, a fighter plane, a bomber, a ship, or a submarine as well as on the home-front.
Selected documentary films from the Ken Burns television series, The War, will be shown.
NOTE: class will start at 9:30a.m.

The Great American Songbook / Hybrid / Mornings: 10:00a.m. - 12:00p.m.

Retired GSU faculty member and Knowledge Exchange class leader Ron Small is back with another music appreciation class.
This class examines "What is the Great American Songbook?" through fifteen of the most prominent composers and lyricists and a presentation of the performers who made these songs part of the Songbook.
This class is in the Hybrid format held both live in the classroom and on the Zoom platform.

Join retired GSU professor and Knowledge Exchange class leader Carl Stover for a 4-week study of the poems of English novelist, short-story writer, poet, and journalist, Rudyard Kipling.
Class will receive paper and/or electronic copies for readings of poems from various Kipling collections including Barrack-Room Ballads and The Five Nations.

Wuthering Heights: An Overview of Emily Brontė's Life, Poetry, and Only Novel / In-Person / Afternoons 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m.

Longtime Knowledge Exchange Class Leader, Film Enthusiast and 40-year Brontė Society Member, Suzanne Patterson switches gears with this 4-week class combining both audiovisual and literal components to paint a portrait of the great English poet and author, Emily Jane Brontė through her poetic works as well as her sole novel, Wuthering Heights.
Class participants will enjoy an historical overview of Emily Bronte's life through lecture and video, excerpts from selected poems and from the novel as well as a complete viewing of the BBC television production of Wuthering Heights in 3 parts.
