Course Detail: Rooted & Roasted: A Bean-To-Cup Journey

Participants will explore the journey from coffee plant to delicious cup by uncovering the story of Three Tree, hearing about the farmers who make it possible, and discovering why that matters when you decide where to purchase your next cup of coffee.

This program includes: A live demonstration of how Three Tree roasts the coffee in their stores. You will use all of your senses to look, see, feel, and taste coffee from the plant to your daily cup of joe. Additionally, each purchase You will be supporting organizations who support victims of Human Trafficking.

Biography: Philip Klayman is the co-founder of Three Tree Coffee, a Statesboro based coffee roasting company that focuses on Empowering Farmers, Ending Human Trafficking and Engaging the Community. Since launching at the local farmer's market in 2014, Three Tree has grown to 3 coffee shop locations with 3 more opening in the next two years. They also have an e-commerce store, a mobile coffee trolley for catering, and a wholesale program for other businesses.
